It was and still is to put on a BYU football jersey. Listening to the stories around the country about Lavell Edwards re-affirm how amazing he was as a coach and what he did for this program. It was a premier program in the late 70's, 80's and early to mid 90's while he was a the coach. It was a privilege and honor for players to put on that jersey. Alot of that "mystique," has decreased over the years for many younger generations of fans, but for people who were around during those special decades, the honor and privilege is still there. I don't hve the genetics in my family for my kids to ever play college football, bit of they did there would only be one place they would play if given
the opportunity
