I am actually not. The only comment I made was I think all the 2015
receivers are more talented.

There is no Mitch Mathews for 2017, I don't think any receiver will catch 11 tds next year, maybe someone gets close to 700 yds but doubtful.

I dont think MLP was better than Houk. MLP really disappointed me this year. I had high hopes for him and he dropped ALOT of catchable balls. Houk was very sure handed. I hope MLP improves alot because he is very talented and has a chance to be great if he will catch the ball.

Juergens had his best year in 2015 and was very effective when healthy. He ran better routes then Hifo, I thought he looked lost this year. He will look better next year being more familiar with the offense, but I doubt he gets close to 500 yds.

Devon Blackmon was solid with 46 catches and 2nd most yards on the team and didn't have the drops that Jonah had. I agree that those two are probably the closest with comparisons. I am a big Trinnaman fan. I am from AF and the OC there is one of my best friends, I watched Trinnaman all the time in high school. I hope he has a monster year next year, but I thought he would have a monster year last year so we will see.

Nick Kurtz was solid in 2015 and maybe Simon or Davis could match his role.

There is no actual way to compare other than watching the games and thats all I can go off of. 2015 ran better routes got better separation and actually caught the ball. I know tanner is a better passer than taysom but its not like he lit it up when he was in this year. I hope more than anything our receiving core takes a big step forward, but the original post was comparing 2015 receivers to 2017 and I don't think you can compare the two and say next year will be better than 2015. 2015 was one of the better receiving cores byu has had. This years WR's will not be regarded the same. I hope we consider them solid and am not expecting much more.

I think one thing to remember is not everybody progresses the way we want them to year after year. Kurtz and Juergens to majors steps back in their senior years, so there is no guarantees that things get drastically better.
