On one of those long days with most of us visiting my sister brought in a bunch of items for us to have a lunch in the waiting area of the ICU. With a hospital like this that charges to enter/leave the parking garage and an expensive cafeteria this was the best way to have 20+ of us to be provided for.

At any rate she flipped out when she went to make her sandwich because someone had taken the mayonnaise utensil and left it in the Miracle Whip container. She ranted off and on to anyone that would listen (which turned out to actually be no one) that her lunch was ruined because of this over sight.

This is such a big deal to her that she actually has identified special utensils for each as her husband likes mayonnaise and she likes Miracle Whip...

Umm...Our Mother is in the other room dying...(as were family members of lots of other people coming in and out of the waiting room)...Dad is losing his eternal companion in this life...and you are freaking out about the utensil misplacement? It isn't like she entered this picnic with an announcement about the special aspects of the utensils or anything...
