I got called regarding an emergency at about 1AM last night and I was working through it until about 3:30. I got out of bed this morning to join a Skype meeting that started at 10AM. I was expected to drive into work today, but I've chosen to just stay home.
I can work today as much or as little as I want unless there is an "emergency" and then I'm stuck. I have projects to work on, of course, but I can delay them if I feel like it. Anyone who could question me can't cause me any trouble. There are three hops between me and our CIO and I've earned so many points with them over the last 15 years or so that I'm not questioned.
