Building your own pipeline is near impossible. Coach Rose and the BYU staff need to find a way to mine the existing pipelines. Lone Peak is already the LDS basketball academy. BYU now needs to find serious connections to non-LDS elite athletes who will find something special at BYU. Just like St Mary's does with the deep Australia connections.

Use powerful alumni with connections in areas with an LDS presence or influence. Brazil, Eastern Europe or Russia seem like nice places to find hidden gems. Jonathan Tavernari and Hansen have deep connections in Brazil and Russia. We could play on the Cosic name in Europe. The point is that BYU needs another pipeline other than LP and the Utah/Idaho HS prospects. They are just too homogeneous in their skill sets.
