Problem tonight was not Nick. Problem staryed with Bennett absolutely destroying
BYU with a far superior gameplan to what Rose had. The same one, incidentally that has been used successfully already 2x this season. Says something.

The problem continued with very undisciplined play on offense and consistently terrible fundamental defense. Not closing out on open shooters. Not fighting over the top of screens. Not taking the ball at the basket and initiating contact. Not moving the ball and finding the open man. Not converting gimme 3 footers over and over. And over. And because players have not really been held accountable for the last 30 games of the season, they continue to do those things. So it should come as no surprise when the same problems arise more often than they don't.

At this point if you want to ascribe Nick's attitude as a problem, blame him. Personally I don't find any fault with Nick for acting like a confident college kid. There is way too much complacency starting at the top of the basketball program. Maybe a little bit of fire and arrogance among the players will be contagious enough that the coaches will start to care enough to actually game plan and teach fundamentals and hold players accountable.
