Ive eaten crow as well. My wife started 3 years ago and is now killing it as well. Im not close to quitting my day job but it is nice to have some extra cash. My wife makes money from selling clothes not from her downline. She has people under her but the one stipulation I had when she started is that if she became pushy and tried to get people under her that we would pull the plug. When people ask she tells them but she doesn't initiate the conversation.
