ready for labor and delivery. If the cervix isn't dilated or effaced at all, induction is probably going to result in a long, hard labor. But if the cervix has softened up and is at least a little dilated, then it shouldn't be a big deal getting induced.
My wife was induced with our first because she was a week overdue. That was a hard labor. She was also induced with our 4th a week early because the baby was getting big (turned out she was over 10 lbs). Being the 4th delivery, and she was dilated some, that labor was pretty quick and no worse than the middle two who were not induced (I would never use "easy" to describe labor, even on an anonymous internet chat board ).
