They even filed a fake W-2 with the correct employer and my correct SSN. Pretty scary. Fortunately, for me, they made some critical errors that tipped the IRS off right away, so there were no real impacts for me, other than a little hassle. Now I have a PIN assigned by the IRS for filing, going forward.
