you should at least get a film.
the bulge is pushing on the nerve going to your foot.
but you should figure out what the bulge is.
could be a herniation of deep musculature, could be a huge vein, could be a growth of some sort in the soft tissue or bone.
at least get an xray. i don't love bulges.
