I didn't realize it went to a jump ball. I thought they said the team that had
possession at the time of the whistle kept possession.

I think there was no precedent to review if it was out of bound, only who it was

It would have sucked if the possession arrow was for Gonzaga. WVU would have lost the ball anyways

"Inadvertent" has a specific meaning within the rules. Blowing the whistle in error qualifies as inadvertent.
