My good buddy's new business venture is tranont. He has been doing various MLM's for a while and finally seems to be doing well with this one. I usually try to avoid his spiels but I decided to listen when he said he was doing well and didn't really "need" me on his team he just wanted to show me what he was up to. That allowed him to talk to me more openly about the "product" and opportunity without really selling it to me.

I listened to him and also did my own investigation.

although, it looks like this one has a pretty good opportunity to make money fast it's still a scam like all the others. It's actually, more like an illegal ponzi scheme than any other MLM in fact. The products they sell are pretty crappy financial products (budgeting tools, identity theft protection, tax help etc) that are purchased for $350 a year plus $125 a month. The quality of the products aren't great, you can get similar things online for free or low cost. As my friend says you don't really use the product anyway he doesn't know anybody that actually does . You just get other people to use the product - and they don't really use the product either. The products may be worth it if you were your own employer- as some of them would come with your normal career benefits package.

Anyway, he has been getting a nice monthly check since November and that will be growing considerably in the next couple of months. He doesn't foresee that he will quit his job and retire rich because of it but it instead it is nice monthly supplement to his income. He doesn't do a lot of work with it in fact. He just got three solid people who could also get three solid people and then it begins to grow. Every once in a while he will add another person under someone who needs to find a third person but mostly he doesn't do much. There is no pressure to sell anything at a party.

Good for my buddy I guess. I'm just not into that type of thing.

What have you guys heard - as it's another Utah business.
