if a young couple lives in an apartment that doesn't allow dogs, they'll
actually move or save or do something to get to a place that allows dogs.
they'll do some planning. they'll take into account all that is necessary.
i've seen less planning for a kid for sure. no accounting for the cost, the time, space, jobs, childcare, etc etc.
