I think Sitake is the right man for the job at this time, but his recruiting ability (at least so far) seems to be overrated (largely because of unrealistic expectations) and Bronco's recruiting job at BYU is usually under rated.

Here are the rankings of Bronco's first 5 recruiting classes: #46, #42, #58, #40, and #22.

Kalani has one full recruiting class under his belt and it was ranked # 58. I don't doubt that future years will prove more fruitful, but that's the only data point we have right now.

I am glad Kalani Sitake is BYU's head coach. I do think it was time for Bronco to move on. However, that will not stop me from appreciating the good he did for the program.
