we had a true local paper in a fairly small town in KY. With a daughter in HS, active in a lot of sports and other activities, there was a decent chance she would be written about or have her picture in the paper.

The free, online access to that paper was limited, you had to have a subscription. So we had a subscription for 5 years to make sure we could get those articles and photos.

Now, we're in a big city in TX, and no kids in sports, so there's a very minimal chance they'll be in the paper so we don't have any subscriptions.
