So if I get a player I like and he runs out of contracts

I just can't play him, but I still keep the card? I never got into it cause I just assumed once a player was out of contracts, he'd be gone. That makes a lot more sense.

No, they have "contracts" on them for a certain number of games

You buy contracts or earn contracts and just add them to the card.
