Opinion piece essentially says that during the admin and coach was the wrong thing to do and that the people who committed the crimes are the ones who should be punished.

I agree with this point of view; however, she is biased as an alumni and completely misses the point that many in the admin and coaching staff ignored and even intentionally hid some of the problems the players got themselves into.

The lack of institutional oversight and control is also equally to blame as the players as they intentionally tried to brush it under the rug.
