He was running around the place super twitchy and obviously on something asking people for money and detailing exactly what food items he was going to buy with it. Apparently he didn't get many takers.

As I was waiting near the counter I saw the twitchy dude go up to the cashier, empty some of the contents of a prescription bottle into his hand, and show it to the cashier. I couldn't hear what was said but the cashier looked to be politely apologizing and shaking his head "no".
