Players that are defensive oriented grinders don't see byu as appealing. That doesn't mean Rose won't snag an Abouo or Jackson Emery along the way.

When BYU coaches approach prospects one of their main selling points is that they will play fast and that even if you are the 3rd or 4th option you will still get just as many shots as a #1 or #2 option on other teams because of pace.

What does that mean? Dave Rose wants teams that are electric offensively that can also play "passable defense"

If Rose can get his team to be a top 10 offensive team while having a top 50-75 defensive team we are in for a likely special season.

Rose isn't going to change to targeting defensive players in recruitment--offense is his MO. That's why I was especially critical of him last year. If you are going to be a team that is clearly recruited toward offense... You better be awesome on offense. Last year the offense stunk.
