118 is a very rare day. That said, it's all a matter of being acclimated as well
as finding ways to cool off. Either stay inside or go to the pool/lake.
In fact, having lived in Vegas and Phoenix, I will say this, Summer usually gets better and better as it goes. You not only acclimate to the heat, but you have fun in the pool or participating in other water sports.
It's over quickly too. I dread when summer arrives, but I am sad when it is over.
Just my opinion.
When I lived in Snowy climates, I remember being absolutely sick of the snow/cold by January, but that's just the halfway point.
We truly get it so easy for 9 months out of the year when it is practically always T shirt weather.
