O Gaucho All-American
When I owned a boat I would sometimes have nightmares about this.
Luckily we never had any mishaps.

The things you see on the lake are crazy. Two that I remember:

1. A group of Young Women with their leader out on Utah lake. The leader went and got the truck and the trailer and left what I assume was a 16 year old girl to drive the boat onto the trailer. She got close and then panicked and turned the steering wheel. It wasn't pretty, did a lot of damage to the boat and trailer. All of the girls started crying while the YW leader screamed "I thought you said you could drive a boat!"

2. An older couple were also trying to get the boat on the trailer. The wife backed down the truck/trailer and the husband got the boat on and things looked good. The wife starts pulling up the ramp and you can hear scraping. The old guy starts laying into his wife at full volume, "What are you doing?!! You are driving the truck wrong!" He was really letting her have it. She tries again and the whole boat is vibrating. He yells at her again at which point I yell to him, "You forgot to put the trim up on the boat motor!" He mumbles under his breath and she smiles at us. My boys were probably 15 and 16 at the time and still talk about it. My wife gave them the "treat your wife right" talk after watching that guy.

Sometimes I really miss having a boat. Other times I don't miss it at all.
