2 years older is a drop in the bucket, that's the least of Mika's problems. Most
... NBA players don't last ten years in the league, and the teams aren't really thinking or caring about the difference between players aged 30 versus age 32 when they draft them.

Look at your comparison to Kuzma -- Mika is only 5 months older than him right now! You seriously think that one more season at BYU would now make Mika too old for the NBA, with 2 seasons LESS wear and tear? C'mon, man, you can't be serious. Being an RM has very little to do with things.

Your points about the 3 point shot are very valid, but that is just another reason Mika should have stayed for one more year. He already substantially improved his free throw shooting in a manner rarely seen between seasons. He could have showcased a similar improvement in three point shooting with one more college season. Would BYU's offense have allowed him to do that? Well, it sure doesn't look like there were very many red lights out there with any of his teammates. Hartsock, Rogers, etc. certainly developed their 3 point games as PFs at BYU. Both Nixon and Childs will likely be jacking up threes next season at the 4 spot.

I've also heard that Mika didn't want to play C because he wants to shoot 3s -- college centers like Love and Green shot a bunch of 3s in college, as well as the NBA finals this year.

Lastly, virtually every NBA draft expert was puzzled and confused with Mika's decision for these exact same reasons. They were all shocked that he didn't showcase his skills for one more year in college after working out and getting feedback from the NBA, because that would have been the most beneficial choice for his professional career.

Mika listened to some bad advice, made a poor decision and sadly made his path to the NBA much more difficult.
