How do you know he was being political with that statement? You sound like a mod
interpreting intent. "I read that as he doesn't like being treated like a child because his views do not align with the mods." So, I read it exactly as stated and didn't read anything else into it, unlike mods who look for any way to twist meaning. His "views" are his opinions on anything.

His point is spot on. Mods will assume the worse and ask questions later. They will derail a well crafted post without care just because they might feel like the "viewpoint" is too controversial, or takes a stance that might be against popular opinion. Or most the time, simply because they read something into it that wasn't even there. Then more times than not, the appeal turns into a childish back and forth where you end up feeling like a child getting set straight by the higher ups for your behavior. When 99 percent of CB is like the most mild place on the internet, the mods make you feel like a criminal for simple sarcasm.

My biggest pet peave with mods is that they have their favorites and their least favorites. Often, I'll get penalized or warned for the silliest offenses. I'll then see the same offenses posted numerous times by other posters with no consequence. The Mods say, "oh we can't catch everything." I understand that, but there is a certainly selective profiling of certain users and coddling of others. They assume certain posters would "never" have bad intent, and assume certain posters "always" have bad intent.
