credit where its due. You want to downplay any win against a good program that we have and come up with any excuse to do so. Saying that there is an asterisk next to Jim Harbaughs first game at Michigan(even though he was one of the top HCs in the NFL and at Stanford before that) and then USC switches to Darnold and somehow that win doesnt count either(even though he won every game after that).
I dont knock BYU for taking Sam Bradford out of the game and beating Oklahoma the first game of the season. BYU had a great win, but I could just as easily as you say that BYU wouldnt have won later in the season with Sam Bradford. The thing is football players get hurt and things change for teams every year.
