On camera I see a loving mother sincerely concerned for a kid who has probably been different for a long time.
Off camera I can't help but get the sense there is a lot going on there and very little of it is healthy.
I wish I could see this for what it is and not think so much about what it isn't, but this situation reminds me of a more lighthearted charicature of what my brother is going through and it just becomes sad.
