I took my talkative seven year old to the first day of a session of swimming
lessons today. I have a doctor's appointment so I went with my son and his older brother. I wanted to make sure the youngest got into the right class. Then the older brother dropped me off at the doctor and went back to pick up his brother.

The seven year old is a little bit precocious and always talking. After we were sure he was in the right class, he turned to me and said, "You can go now." The high school girl who teaches and the moms standing around chuckled a little.

So my son got embarrassed and said, "It's not like that. He has to go the doctor. Something itches. But he probably doesn't want me to say anything because it will be embarrassing."

I'm getting a routine physical and nothing itches, but how do you get out of that one?
