It's not particularly inexpensive, but it's convenient.

I believe Yellowstone does allow firewood gathering in the park, however (I could be mixing up my national parks, though, so check first). You won't find much in the campgrounds due to the number of visitors, but as you drive around, you can often see some throughout the park. We've stopped and picked up a bunch on the sides of the road.
