My wife has experienced that. Her eye dr. prescribed reading glasses to fix that
He said that the problem was after focusing close up, the retina couldn't adjust to focusing on distance. But with reading glasses, she didn't have to strain at all on close up stuff, which leaves her eyes ok for distance.
