It's been sweet relief now that Jim Buss and Kupchak are gone. Magic and Pelinka are slowly turning it around.

Now with the cap not expanding as much as teams thought, cap space is becoming a premium once again. A lot of teams locked themselves into some big money contracts, and so few teams will have tons of cap space. I personally think the Lakers will get PG13, and then 1 of these 3: Lebron, Boogie, or Westbrook.

If they do this, they would be smart to try to keep as much cap space open for 2019 summer to grab another marquee FA. This would require them to move the Deng contact which can be done in the next two seasons.

Overall, I think the Lakers are finally trending in a positive direction with their young core and financial flexibility
