I'm guessing that Mark McGwire or Jose Canseco would likely hit farther.
... the difference is in how it's measured. Today, a ball is measured by where it hits the wall or seat. Back then, the ball kept rolling.
There's no way players as rocked up as they were during the 'roid era were being out hit by Babe Ruth (in terms of distance).
