For Honda Pilot or Toyota Highlander initially. We saw the XC90 and loved the new styling, technolgy, safety, and especially the interior. We're kinda practical, so set a limit of $50k, and looked at the comparable Audi SUV. MB & BMW is too ritzy of image so stayed away.

We got a fully loaded 2017 T5 Momentum AWD, pretty loaded, and kept it under our target. Got the magic blue (which really looks purplish in sunlight) and beige interior...panoramic roof. It's my wifes vehicle and she's stingy letting me drive (I have late model Hyundai Genesis). She's never been that way in past did tells me something. There's been a couple minor irritations with the XC90, but overall very happy. Solid european, safe, and like the styling.
