One of the toughest things to deal with related to BYU recruiting
We get all hyped up about certain big-time recruits, and we celebrate when they commit to come to BYU. But then they go on missions and we don't see them for another 2 years. And who knows what impact 2 years away from the sport will have. So we get excited, and then by the time they return, we've basically forgotten about them.

Other schools recruit a top-notch athlete and can look forward to seeing what they can do right away. At BYU, not so much.

I know, long-term, the key for BYU is filling the pipeline, but in the near-term, it's tough to get a 4- or 5-star recruit and then not have them in the program for at least a couple of years.

But having said all that, one of the best things about BYU recruiting is when they are able to steal an RM from the school they committed to prior to their mission. I love when that happens.
