If you don't know, I live in Florida. Miami to be more precise.

A little over 6 months ago, a house was built in the empty lot across the street from my house and a family moved in. Turns out they have 2 boys. They come over to play with my girls almost every day. A few weeks ago, I noticed the older one, 8 years old, had an interest in football.

I went inside and grabbed my football and we threw it around for a little while with one of my daughters. I have also started making sure I put on BYU football highlights from YouTube when they are inside.

His dad is a Cuban immigrant, so I don't think he has any loyalties to any university, so I am hoping to get his boys to adopt BYU as their team. It is impossible to tell right now if he will become a D1 caliber athlete. If not, maybe one of his friends in high school will be, and the seed I have planted can bring fruit to my alma mater.
