Pros:
Great 401k adding $5-6000 to my retirement annually before matching (see related thread)
Recommended (and recruited) by an ex-co-worker who I respect a lot
Stable Financial environment
20% bonus always met (vs 10-15% where I'm at)
Go get em Manager vs current one who has a director who micromanages
Positions higher up on the chain seem open for me to move up to
Better relationship between the VP and my director than at my current chain
Lots of interesting work
free tuition if I want to go back for degree/s
Cons:
Typical annual raises ~3% vs 3-5% where I'm at- would add up over time
Lots of recent turnover in ITS- but new team seems secure
Lots of interesting work because the previous regime made lots of mistakes, hence new team
Only $1000 raise (and it was a stretch for them- market above what they've paid in the past- maybe because it is a plum company in some ways- but this is also $1000 above the raise I just barely got at my current company a few weeks ago)
Just finished major projects at my current company and was scheduled to get some important paid for training in areas important to me- new place has to much to do and won't be able to go to training for awhile
Just finished 3rd year and have a lots of earned trust that I'll have to re-build in new environment
Right now the recommendation from the friend and the tuition reimbursement are making me lean towards the new opportunity...
