I don't know if these are on Netflix or not, but I have a couple of pop culture documentaries that I liked.

One was "Dream on silly dreamer". It was about Disney's rise and fall of hand-drawn animation from the 80's on.

Another was "Rip! A remix manifesto". It was about copyright laws and the ability to create mashups and reuse others' music or film.

And if you like the Foo Fighters, the "Sound City" and "Back and Forth" documentaries are interesting.
