Not saying it's the case with you, but some people should stop thinking
that not watching a lot of TV is a waste of money . . . Especially when said people are sports fans. I never think to myself, "oh crap. I better go turn on the tube to get my money's worth this month." There are many other more important things than watching tv. However, when there is a game that I want to watch, I want to watch it without a bunch of the crap that you have to deal with when streaming.

Like others have said, the streaming services for sports suck. DVRs aren't the same. The game is usually well behind in real time. The switching from one channel/game to another is not as quick and easy. The picture and audio doesn't stay perfect for 100% of the game. If you want a lot of the games you end up buying a bunch of add-on packages.

There are just a lot of annoyances that one has to take into consideration. For many people, they couldn't care less about some of these issues. For me, i like watching BYU football games that are as close to real time as possible, that I can DVR with no problems. I also like flipping around to other games like a crazy person when the BYU game is in commercial break or halftime. Going from cable/satellite to streaming just seems like going backward in quality.
