bold statement and this may come back to haunt me, but I don't care because I have given this a lot of thought and am certain. The interesting thing is I couldn't have made this statement last week, but when Utah named Tyler Huntley the starting Quarterback there was too much things working in BYU's favor that BYU will not lose this time and here is why...
1- The talent gap between BYU and Utah isn't that wide that Utah wins that many in a row despite what those yewts say
2- Utah has a young starting quarterback that will make mistakes with a shaky offensive line---Kalani will confuse the quarterback and force some turnovers
3- Utah has some unproven running backs
4- Utah has a new offensive scheme that probably really won't start clicking until midseason
5- Utah has young cornerbacks, Mangum will go right at them with some rockets
6-I am not sold on Utah's linebackers and thing BYU can take advantage of them with the running backs out of the backfield and tight ends
7- The Kalani effect is real and worth a couple of points
8- The Lamb effect
9- Ty freaking Detmer
10- The return of the tight end is a game changer for BYU
There really too many things coming together for BYU to lose...I think this is the best chance they have had in years.
And I don't think it will be close
BYU 38 Utah 17
