Over the years of attending home games one thing has bothered me. When BYU plays Utah there are too many Utah fans that get their hands on BYU tickets. If you have somehow let your tickets get into the hands of Utah fans in the past, please take a moment and hang your head in shame. If you let it happen in the future you are a bad person.
If for any reason, you hold season tickets are are considering selling them may I suggest you carefully follow these instructions: Indicate in your ad the following disclaimer: These tickets will be sold to BYU fans. Utes need not call, text or otherwise make contact with me. The tickets can not be mailed. You will need to pick them up in person wearing BYU gear of your choosing. I reserve the right to ensure that you are indeed a BYU fan by administering a short test.
Upon meeting your buyer you will administer the following test.
Q1) Name the two main BYU players involved in the following play: “Final play of the game barring a penalty. All the time in the world [redacted]. Can anyone get open for him. He’ll roll right, lets it go. FINDS HIS GUY! TOUCHDOWN!
Q2) What was the name of the player that split two defenders and scored a touchdown in overtime to defeat the Utes in 2009?
Q3) What was the name of the player that won a significant national award, of which Utah has never had a player win, who tip-toed the sideline helping secure the win against the dirty Utes 2001?
Q4) What was the name of the player that intercepted a pass to end the game and rip out the hearts of Utah fans in 2001? Hint, he is a current BYU coach.
Q5) Finish the following song: On you to to vanquish the foe for Alma Mater's sons and daughters. As we join in song, in praise of you, our faith is strong. "________________________________________________________"
**Feel free to add questions as needed to ensure the right person gets the tickets**
If your potential buyer can not get these questions correct they may be a casual fan. Not a bad fan, but not the kind of fan we need at the Stadium on Saturday September 9th. They may also be a wolf in sheep clothing. If you allow Utah fans to get a hold of your tickets in the future, may God have mercy on your soul.
