a feature back and he had been so injured that we haven't been able to see a full game out of him yet. Last year we had Jamaal Williams and Algie Brown who were capable of getting multiple carries and making the run game go. Canada and Dye are really only change of pace backs.
The other piece is good QB play. IMO, Mangum is capable and was starting to show it again at the end of the Utah game. Hoge had potential to grow into it.
If the offense doesn't turn the ball over as much and stays on the field, the defense doesn't wear down as much as they are today.
We aren't a perfect team. And the results don't match the expectations we had this year. I'd Mangum is out very long, that's added trouble.
But the level of angst here borders on comical. I get that it's in game frustration to a certain extent. That said, some of you guys are so pessimistic that most people would probably hate working with you.
