He's a baseball kid first, but has always enjoyed football (and still does, plays QB and safety on middle school team). But was approached by high school soccer coach and is intrigued by the idea. Kind of a surprise to me, as he has always liked football. This would be for fun/conditioning when not doing baseball, not really worried about super competitive club team stuff. FTR, we are a smaller rural community with a decent, but not super strong soccer population (as evidenced by the fact that they have a few 8th graders playing varsity).
