Several mentioned that they are already Cougar Club members and had already given as part of their membership, but were happy to chip in even more just to be part of this effort. I don't know how much they have otherwise given.

Also, some signed up as new Cougar Club members, including several who will make recurring monthly payments starting now. Obviously, if they stick with it, they will end up giving more than $300.

And again, the purpose was less to generate money than to generate numbers of people. I specifically wanted to get people on board who had not donated to the program before. A large number of respondents were first-time donors who could only afford to give a little but wanted to show their support for the program.
