Pro style has nothing to do with formations. Formations are part of any offense.

Pro style refers mostly (not completely) to what the QB is asked to do

The QB sets protections ,changes protections , makes reads once a play starts and adjusts based off of those reads
The wr's do the same thing.
In concert this means any given play can look very different in terms of routes ran and where the ball should be thrown based on what the defense does or doesn't do.

Conversely a one read sustem has the qb go to one primary wr determined pre snap and then once the play happens throw to that wr OR after that roll out do what you can to extend the play and look to see if the other wr's are open.
The decision making is not in the qb's hands in the second it is totally in his hands in the first.
Also often protections aren't asked to be set in the 2nd by the qb.
