I'll readily admit that I'm no expert on football x's and o's. And if you'll notice my post was stated as a question and not a declaration. Also, I'm pretty sure that I don't speak for most of CB.
On 960 AM I heard them talking about the difference between Tanner's first drive against Boise State, where he looked pretty good and we scored a touchdown vs. Tanner's play the rest of the game. Jake Kuresa said that in that first drive that Tanner did not have to make any reads. It was just drop back, then pass to a certain spot. I think he completed four passes on that first drive while looking pretty good. Does this mean that in this first drive we weren't really running a "Pro Style" offense?
However, the rest of the game he was being asked to make reads and often time missed his reads and didn't look good.
Is Tanner just not capable of being successful in a Pro Style offense?
Again, I'm just asking a question and would appreciate an answer this time that not is in "yewthole" form. TIA
