I think what he's saying is the coach doesn't change but the results vary.
Even very good coaches will have down years because of countless variables.
So if they're a good coach and they typically get the most out of the talent available then why call for their head in a rare down year?
Fickle fans are reactionary and chase off good coaches all the time.
