As I recall, there was some deal about the MWC being considered for one of the automatic qualifier spots, and it was related to how well the teams played. So it was cool that BYU and Utah were both doing well. I wouldn't say that I rooted for them, per se, but I was pleased with the success of the conference overall. And then it almost got really exciting when Boise State was added. But then it all went to heck when BYU and Utah left.
