We used to get phones for cheap from the phone company. Now everyone, including
teenagers, carry around phones that cost $800 each, and are obsolete after only 3 years.
Phone companies have found ways to convince people to buy them, anyway. Eventually, the same will happen with electric vehicles.
I just thought comparing them to smart phones isn't necessarily a negative.

Interesting that they are described as having a similar obsolescence cycle as cell phones. almost guarantees lease only
