Traditional cars can be used even if they are clunkers and this creates a market for old, beat up automobiles. If EVs don't age well and if the electronics demand maintenance and repair, it may be there won't be any clunker EVs. They'll be used 5 years and then recycled.
Point being that the economics of driving an EV may make the vehicle more popular as a commercial and fleet vehicle.
