This is where "hipster" becomes (justifiably) derogatory - when it becomes a
badge of honor to like stuff that no one else likes, some are tempted to like things that, frankly, there is no good reason to like.
I just saw some meme the other day that was something like "instructions on how to pretend you like Death Grips," with a comment about how exhausting it is to act like you like this stuff, but it's worth it b/c it makes your taste super unique.
