I'd guess mid 2020's. GM has missed the mark with it's car. I don't see
passengers wanting to completely give up the option to take control of a vehicle anytime soon. Maybe someday when self driving cars are so ubiquitous that a generation no longer has the ability to drive. For now a car without any controls is a bridge too far.

I love the idea of self driving cars but human nature, regulatory red tape, and the current state of technology make the GM car a no-go in my mind.
