Maybe my question wasn’t worded correctly
Not concerned if a player has talks with other schools and receives a few letters. Not a big deal and obviously not to him either he would go there. And i am all for the walk on making it and getting PT.

But why did they they are “happy to announce their committment”. That’s only what scholarship players say when they have lots of options but kind of put an end to the recruiting. They “committed to walking on”? Preferred walk on or not this doesn’t make sense some kids “commit to walking on”. Why dont they just say they are walking on to BYU like most other people do at most other schools.

This young man is free to say what he wants, and i am sure it sounds like a bigger deal to his friends and family to put it that way. Plus who cares what i think. But I still think it’s strange.
